She told me many of those people were helped and raised the money they needed for their wedding, for school, for pets, for ill family members, even for people who volunteer to help others in very far away villages in the other side of the world! People with kindness in their hearts are beautiful. Mommy wonders how would this world be without them?
My Mommy has also donated to several orgs to help children with cancer, different animal shelters and pet orgs in the US, she donated to help the homeless enjoy a Thanksgiving Day meal, donated her time as well volunteering at Meals On Wheels, driving her own car to deliver meals to people with advanced AIDS, and bought with her own money pet food for those who had a pet. Those people were not able to leave their homes to go grocery shopping, they could not cook anymore, and had no money. I used to go with her, I enjoyed the raid and spending time with her, she would always tell me how it went with every person she delivered the meal to. When our job was done, we headed to Run Canyon Park in West Hollywood, Ca., for a 2 hour long, nice hike! I met lots of other happy doggies and mom also met and chat with the pet parents. Sometimes after that, she took me to the big pet store to 'snif' shopping, it was sooo much fun! Then we drove our way back home, had a yummy meal which we shared because the food was so healthy and good for me as well. She always took good care of my diet and health, and hers as well, then we just cuddled on the couch while mommy read a book and then we went to bed.
Mommy has also helped kids in very poor areas across the border in Tijuana, she has bought candies and toys and wrapped them up as Christmas gifts for them. Other times she just flew to spend Christmas with my beautiful grandma, and brought toys for those less fortunate kids in that town, she didn't miss to include the candies, but those she bought there, to have grandma join her and shared the beautiful experience together.
Mommy still brings Christmas gifts and candies to poor kids even though money is now an issue. The toys are not as many nor as 'fancy' as the ones she used to give, the gifts now are jump ropes, marbles, tiny cars, coloring books and crayons....and candies.
